Stigma

When researching who uses safe haven services, I discovered that the number one reason cited by young mothers who abandon or kill their new borns was the stigma of having an illegitimate child.
I am asking all people everywhere to strike the term illegitimate from their vocabulary when talking about human beings.

The US have implemented various safe surrender laws in 47 states. Each state has its own version or borrowed version from another district.
While looking at different models of safe surrender I think it is imperative to look at all sides of the equation. And adoptee experiences and opinions are invaluable.
