The woman believed to have given birth to an abandoned baby boy, stepped forward on Friday. She is reportedly over 18 years of age, and is believed to live North of Saskatoon.
Police are waiting to gather more details before making further comment.
The baby boy is still in hospital.

Police in Saskatchewan are looking for the mother of an infant who was born and later abandoned in a Wal-Mart washroom.
Sgt. Rhonda Meakin of the Prince Albert Police Service said authorities are investigating the incident and are concerned for the mother’s wellbeing.
