It was a case so disturbing that Richmond RCMP spokeswoman Cpl. Jennifer Pound, heavily pregnant with her fourth child, had to fight off tears at a news conference Monday.
“You don’t have to be a parent to be disturbed by this,” she said. “It hits people on many levels.”
On Jan. 21, the woman delivered the baby in the bathroom of her boyfriend’s Richmond home while he slept on the couch, police said.
She told him she had miscarried, police said, and the two of them wrapped the baby in a towel, put him in a garbage bag and discarded the body in a dumpster at a nearby school.

Before the end of the conversation, I told him that after I had the abortion, I would demand to have the fetus to give it a proper burial. Then, instead of burying it, I would call his wife when he was at work, and tell her that he left something at my house a few weeks ago, and then drive over, and give her the fetus in a garbage bag.
